"It is cool to come to work every day and work with the technology of tomorrow.  I'm getting to work with technology that I never dreamed would be available to me. I'm also able to learn new skills and gain first-hand experience which will enable me to take full advantage of that technology once it is released into the market. 

With skills learned at CSC, I have an advantage over those who only work with technology as it is being released, because once the technology that I am working on now becomes mainstream, I will already be focused on the next biggest technological  generation.

With a career with CSC and the aerospace and defense industry, I will be able to challenge my intellect into thinking and delving into facets of the future that will take myself and my world far beyond the world of today; into a world where almost anything is ultimately achievable."

Placement: Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC)

Description of Duties: At CSC, my daily work duties include programming and deploying a wide variety of web portal solutions, from SharePoint Solutions, to open source CMS solutions, to even creating a proprietary CMS for our daily tasks here at the MIC.  In addition, I work various security evaluations and penetration testing projects, and maintain a variety of high-performance servers in various lab environments.  I also was part of a team that built, configured, and installed an entire datacenter, complete with bio-metric, multi-platform secure ultra-thin net, secure wireless, fiber-optic, and mass-storage solutions, using a widespread spectrum of tomorrow's technology.  I even get to work in a mock-war room in our Innovations Center, and demo new technologies to our clients, in addition to attending numerous briefings, technical and otherwise, and training sessions for new products that we wish to incorporate into our datacenter and lab.  These training sessions are often one-on-one, and are taught by the lead engineer of the company which develops and sells the new products with which we receive.

Future Career Plans: I would like to continue to work with CSC in the aerospace and defense industry.  I would eventually like to work in the specific area of computational and network security and cryptography, either within the federal government, or as a government contractor.
