"During my Junior year at UMBC, the Shriver Center assisted me greatly in getting an internship at Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Co.  Now after almost a year of working for this company, I still enjoy coming to work every day, have developed many meaningful relationships with management and peers, and am continuously challenged and stimulated in my position. If not for the Shriver Center, I would not have had this experience or the opportunity to get academic credit at the same time."

Placement: Mercantile-Safe Deposit Company/PNC

Description of Duties: Assist in closing loans, help with the review process and create loan documentation.

Future Career Plans: Once I graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Economics and Preparatory MBA Studies at UMBC, I plan to tackle the corporate world and hopefully start a career in commercial lending.  After I secure myself a position I enjoy, I will be going to graduate school to get my Masters in Business Administration and hope to continue to excel in my career while giving back to my community as much as possible.
